Pastor Chris, Please Don’t Kneel, This Was All I Wanted, Apology Accepted – Doris Ogala

According to a report by Premium Times on Sunday, December 28, 2025, the founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, Chris Okafor, has publicly apologised to actress Doris Ogala following weeks of public attention over allegations surrounding an unfulfilled marriage pledge and other related claims.

The controversy had grown after Okafor married his wife, Pearl, and Ogala faced legal issues amid claims of blackmail directed at the cleric.

These events drew significant media coverage and heightened public interest in the matter.

During a Sunday sermon, Okafor was seen kneeling before members of his congregation as he expressed remorse for what he described as past mistakes.

The public apology was also shared through a video posted on Ogala’s social media page, in which the cleric extended his regret to the actress and others he said he had offended.

The gesture marked a notable moment in the unfolding saga, reflecting Okafor’s effort to address the situation publicly.

Despite the apology, Okafor maintained that the allegations levelled against him by Ogala were not true.

He distinguished between expressing regret for his actions and conceding the veracity of the claims, suggesting that his remorse focused on any offence caused rather than confirming wrongdoing.

This distinction drew attention as observers weighed the sincerity and scope of the apology in the context of the ongoing dispute.

In response, Doris Ogala confirmed that she had accepted the apology, noting that it fulfilled what she considered the main resolution to the situation.

She emphasised that while she forgave Okafor for his actions, she did not agree with his assertion that her allegations were fabricated.

Her reaction highlighted a nuanced reconciliation, separating forgiveness from validation of claims.

She said, “Pastor Chris, please don’t kneel. This was all I wanted. Apology accepted. Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there’s a problem."
