According to a report by Symfoni TV, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, two prominent members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have officially distanced themselves from the ongoing efforts to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu.

The Deputy Minority Leader, Hon. Mrs Barile Nwakoh, and the representative for Obio/Akpor Constituency II, Hon. Lady Emilia Lucky Amadi JP, announced their shift in position during a media briefing held in Port Harcourt.
