After a lawyer who had been reported dead showed up in court to finish his case in Rivers State, Chidi Odinkalu, a well-known human rights advocate and former chairman of the national human rights commission, took to his official X handle to respond.
He noted that the lawyer seemed to finish the job for which he was killed, as evidenced by the claims made on his official X handle.
Following the publication of the news on different social media platforms, the public response to the news of a supposedly dead lawyer showing up in court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, was divided.
In February 2026, the lawyer, whose identity was not revealed to the public, was reportedly suffocated while working on a high-profile case in December 2026 and buried.
