Nigerian activist and former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has reacted to remarks made by Abia State governor, Alex Otti, concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Taking to his official X account on Saturday, March 28, 2026, Sowore shared his views following a report by The Punch, which stated that Otti had indicated he was not in a position to challenge Tinubu’s candidacy ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Responding to the development, Sowore suggested that Otti’s stance shows a lack of opposition to the president.
He further alleged that supporters of the Obidient Movement and the City Boys Movement are aligned with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Expressing his skepticism, Sowore wrote:
“I was under the impression that those promoting Alex Otti claimed he stood against Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC?”
His remarks have since drawn attention online, with many Nigerians sharing differing opinions on the political implications of Otti’s statement.
