There’s Something Missing In Peter Obi; If He Realizes That, He’ll Get 40% Of Northern Votes—Isah

The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Isah Atiku, has expressed his opinion on the political strength of Peter Obi, particularly regarding his acceptance in northern Nigeria ahead of future elections.

In a video shared on Symfoni, Atiku acknowledged that Obi already possesses certain qualities that appeal to voters in the northern region.

However, he pointed out that there is an important factor the former Anambra State governor is yet to fully address one he believes could significantly improve Obi’s chances at the polls.

Atiku explained that if Obi is able to recognize and fix this missing element, he could secure a large portion of northern votes without necessarily depending on political alliances or choosing a running mate from the region.

He stressed that political success in Nigeria often depends on perception, messaging, and strategic positioning rather than just party structures or regional balancing.

According to him, “Okay, why are people talking about Peter Obi? Let me tell you, there's something missing in Peter Obi; if he realizes that, he'll get 40% of Northern votes without even having to bring any top politician from the north to be his vice president. What is it? You see, Peter Obi has something that northerners love and appreciate so much.”

His remarks have added to ongoing discussions about Obi’s national appeal and the strategies required to expand his support base across different regions of the country. Observers note that while Obi has maintained a strong following in parts of southern Nigeria, gaining wider acceptance in the North remains a critical factor for any future presidential ambition.
