Tinubu: “Some States That Will Work Well For Him Are Taraba, Niger, Sokoto, And Borno State–Ayodele

According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Sunday, March 29, 2026, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, has issued a warning to Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding political developments ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

In a statement released through his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the cleric expressed concern about internal dynamics within the ruling All Progressives Congress, suggesting that not all governors within the party are fully aligned with the president’s political direction.

Ayodele indicated that some governors within the ruling party may not be fully committed, describing a situation where certain political figures appear divided in their loyalty.

According to the statement, this situation could pose challenges for political coordination and support ahead of the next election cycle.

The cleric pointed out that such divisions, if not addressed, could affect the strength and unity of the party as it prepares for future political contests.

The statement also highlighted specific concerns about some states where political challenges could arise.

It suggested that certain governors might face internal difficulties that could impact their ability to secure strong electoral support.

Ayodele noted that overcoming such challenges would require significant effort and strategic planning, adding that the process could prove difficult without deliberate political engagement and groundwork.

In addition, the cleric identified some states that he believes could provide strong backing for the president in his re-election bid.

Among the states mentioned were Taraba State, Niger State, Sokoto State, and Borno State.

He advised that attention should be given to these areas, as their political structures and leadership could play an important role in future electoral outcomes.

The statement emphasized the importance of maintaining strong relationships with state leaders in these regions.

The cleric also made reference to the activities of Atiku Abubakar, noting that political efforts were ongoing in parts of northern Nigeria.

He suggested that there were attempts to build alliances and strengthen political positioning ahead of the election period.

This observation was presented as part of a broader assessment of the evolving political landscape, where different actors are actively engaging in preparations for future contests.

He said, “Some states that will work well for him are Taraba, Niger, Sokoto, and Borno state; he shouldn’t joke with them at all. Atiku is doing serious underground work in the north, and they are almost striking a deal with him. However, these states are standing strong for the president.”
