‎2027: Tinubu Will Have Major Problem In North And East, Those Zones Are Not For Him—Primate Ayodele

According to a report by Nigerian Tribune, on Thursday April 9, 2026, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may face serious political challenges in the northern and southeastern parts of Nigeria ahead of the 2027 election.

‎In a recent statement, the cleric said these two regions could become major obstacles to the president’s second-term ambition, he explained that support from the North and the Southeast is not yet secured, making the political landscape uncertain for the president.

According to Primate Ayodele, the situation in both regions remains unstable for Tinubu, he noted that the level of acceptance and backing needed from these areas is still lacking, this, he said, could play a key role in determining the outcome of the next presidential election.

‎The cleric expressed concern that there may be no clear solution to the challenge at the moment and suggested that the political gaps in the North and Southeast are deep and may be difficult to fix before the election, this raises questions about how the president and his team plan to address the issue moving forward.

‎Primate Ayodele added that both regions are politically important and cannot be ignored and stressed that winning the support of voters in these areas is critical for any candidate seeking national victory, without strong backing from these zones, he said, it would be difficult for the president to secure another term in office.

‎He further noted that the uncertainty surrounding these regions should not be taken lightly, according to him, the situation requires serious attention and strategic action if the president hopes to improve his chances.

‎“Tinubu will have major problems in the north and south east, those zones are not for him, and I don’t know if there is any remedy," he said.
