Reactions As Dino Melaye Shares Judgement Of Supreme Court When Akpabio's Election Was Challenged

Social media users have taken to their official X account on April 3, 2026 to react after one of the chieftains of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dino Melaye shared the judgement of the Supreme Court when the election of Godswill Akpabio was challenged.

This came after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC discontinued the recognition of the leadership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC. 

In the post that Dino Melaye shared on his official X account, it was stated that the Supreme Court validated the election of Godswill Akpabio and also stated that INEC has no role in internal politics.

"The Supreme Court validated his election and held that INEC has no role to play in internal party politics. INEC has no approval power over congresses, only to monitor. What is required is notice, which ADC has complied with".

Reacting after sharing the post, Dino Melaye asked the Independent National Electoral Commission to listen to the Supreme Court.
