I Told Tinubu That You Have To Use Your Gun To Kill The Terrorists Or Use A Pen To Resign- Adebayo

According to a report by Sahara Reporters on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has claimed that he told President Tinubu that he has to use his gun to kill the terrorists or use his pen to resign. 

He made this statement during his condolence visit to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde after the terrorist attack in the Oriire Local Government Area.

He said, "Nigerian people need to understand that it’s no longer a joke. I told Tinubu sometime last year that you have to use your gun to kill the terrorists or use a pen to resign."

Adebayo said that what Oyo State is going through is what other States are going through. He said he would have gone to a different state if he had been appointed as the chief mourner since President Tinubu has allegedly failed to do his job as the commander in chief. 

He also said that there is no use in being in government if the president cannot secure Oyo State, which is the heart of Yorubaland.

He noted that Governor Makinde is using the state’s scarce resources to fund Amotekun and local security efforts, while accusing President Tinubu of sitting on massive security votes and using them to undermine political parties.
