‘People Will Lose Hopes ’: Iranians Smuggle Messages To ‘Post’ Begging Trump to Return To War

According to a report by The Jerusalem Post, growing fear and uncertainty are spreading across Iran as some citizens reportedly call for continued international pressure against the Islamic Republic amid ongoing tensions surrounding negotiations between Tehran and Washington.

The publication cited testimonies from anonymous Iranians who claimed that many citizens no longer believe meaningful political change can be achieved through internal reforms alone.

According to the report, some Iranians risked severe punishment by communicating with Israeli journalists, as Iranian authorities reportedly criminalize contact with Israelis and often accuse dissidents of collaborating with foreign intelligence agencies.

One source identified only as “Z.” described the emotional and psychological impact of months of political unrest, economic hardship, and government crackdowns.

The individual reportedly said many Iranians initially welcomed the return of Donald Trump to power because of his earlier statements supporting anti-government protesters.

The report alleged that protests across Iran were met with a harsh crackdown that left many people dead or missing.

While Iranian authorities reportedly acknowledged a lower casualty figure, human rights organizations and unnamed Western sources claimed the number could be much higher.

According to the article, many Iranians fear that renewed diplomatic agreements between the United States and Tehran could strengthen the Iranian government by easing sanctions and unlocking frozen assets.

The source identified as “Z.” reportedly stated, “The people of Iran were very happy about Trump returning to power and saw him as their savior, but now that trust has become very weak because of Trump’s recent policies.”

Another source, identified as “X.”, reportedly described worsening economic conditions caused by inflation, unemployment, internet restrictions, and reduced social support programs.

The individual claimed many citizens had become convinced that only external pressure could bring significant political change.

The report also highlighted growing political influence within Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and tensions surrounding the reported rise of Mojtaba Khamenei following the death of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
