In his post, Obi stated that he also reunited with Fayemi during the occasion. According to him, the former Ekiti governor delivered a keynote address at the Thabo Mbeki Africa Day Lecture held in South Africa.

“During my audience with Mr Mbeki, I also reconnected with my good friend, former Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, who delivered a keynote address at the Thabo Mbeki Africa Day lecture,” Obi wrote on X.
