In a recent interview on Symfoni TV, on Friday, June 5, 2026, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Media and Policy Communications Daniel Bwala commented on developments within the African Democratic Congress (ADC)-led coalition, particularly discussions surrounding former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi and his reported role in ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections. 

The conversation focused on coalition politics, leadership ambitions, and negotiations among opposition figures within the ADC alliance.

Bwala noted that political coalitions often experience internal adjustments as key stakeholders reassess their ambitions and strategic interests. 

He explained that discussions about leadership positions are common during coalition-building efforts, especially when multiple influential figures are involved in a platform such as the ADC coalition.
