Speaking at a community function, the official acknowledged that some people had been gossiping about the fact that she is yet to get married despite her successful career in public service.
Responding to the criticism with confidence, she said she is not bothered by what people say and remains hopeful that she will eventually find the right life partner.
"Those who want to keep talking should continue. I'm still in the market," she said, drawing laughter and applause from members of the audience.
The official went on to say that she believes marriage should happen at the right time and with the right person, rather than being rushed because of societal expectations.
She also expressed confidence in herself, saying she remains optimistic about the future and believes she will one day settle down.
