Oyo Kidnap: My Brother Went To Rescue The Kidnapped Children In The Forest And He Was Killed – Grieving Victim Tearfully Narrates

A heartbreaking eyewitness account has emerged from Oriire Local Government Area in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, following the abduction of school children and the deadly rescue attempt that followed.

According to an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo on WithChude, the witness shared a chilling account of how community members and security operatives attempted to rescue kidnapped children deep inside a forest, only for the mission to end in tragedy.

The eyewitness explained that his brother was among those who joined the rescue operation.

He said: “My brother went with some security men to rescue the children in the forest and they were all bombed.”

He recounted that local forest experts, including individuals working with a national park in the area, were among the first responders because of their knowledge of the terrain.

According to him, they believed their familiarity with the forest would help them track and safely rescue the abducted children.

However, the rescue mission turned deadly after it was discovered that the kidnappers had planted explosives and booby traps within the forest to block any pursuit.

The video confirms that the group unknowingly stepped into the explosive devices during the operation.

The explosion reportedly killed members of the rescue team, highlighting the increasing danger faced by security operatives and local volunteers in kidnapping hotspots.

The account underscores the growing complexity of rescue operations in areas affected by banditry and kidnappings, where criminals are now adopting more sophisticated and deadly tactics.
