The incident, which was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media, attracted a large crowd of passers-by, commercial bus passengers, and motorcycle riders who stopped to witness the heated exchange.
In the footage, the visibly upset woman is heard shouting at the man, demanding that he settle what she claimed he owed her.
"Pay me my money first! And return my phone!" she repeatedly shouted as the man attempted to walk away.
According to claims circulating online, the pair allegedly spent the previous night together after agreeing to meet at a lodge in the area. The woman claimed the man had promised to pay her afterward but failed to honor the alleged agreement.
