Presidency Committee Went To Oyo Without Paying Courtesy Visit On Gov Who Is CSO Of The State—Melaye

Former Kogi State Senator, Dino Melaye, has accused the Federal Government of excluding the Oyo State governor from key decisions affecting the state.

Speaking during a political commentary, Melaye alleged that certain actions were taken “without carrying the governor along,” which he described as improper within a democratic system.

He further claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration had undermined the authority of the Oyo State governor, describing the development as concerning, especially in an election period.

According to him, such actions raise broader questions about governance and respect for constitutional roles in a federal system.

“In a democracy, Tinubu undermined the office of the executive governor of Oyo State in an election year.

So that is to tell you, if this man has the opportunity of coming back, Nigeria is going to be something else completely, because the man doesn’t care and he doesn’t give a damn,” he said.

Melaye’s remarks add to ongoing political debates surrounding federal-state relations and the conduct of public office holders in Nigeria’s current political climate.
