Rivers APC: Emeke Beke Said He Sacked All Candidates As If He Employed Them For Him To Sack - Wike

During an interview on Channels Television on Friday, June 5, 2026, Nyesom Wike expressed strong views while addressing political accusations linked to Emeka Beke.

He took advantage of the occasion to critique what he called a misinterpretation of political power and obligations, especially concerning the allegations about the dismissal of party candidates.

Wike challenged the logic behind claims that certain candidates had been "fired," asserting that such statements demonstrated a lacking understanding of how political parties function and how candidates are selected.

He emphasized that no individual possesses the authority to solely hire or remove political candidates as suggested, warning that such views could confuse the public.

He also rejected the remark as displaying a lack of political knowledge, insisting that individuals making those claims do not comprehend the internal organization and processes of party management.

He stated that political activities are regulated by set rules and institutions rather than by personal decisions or casual statements.

He added that it indicates a lack of awareness for anyone to propose they could remove candidates as if they were the ones who appointed them in the beginning.
