According to claims circulating online, the student reportedly discovered a bag containing cash shortly after boarding a commercial bus in Lagos. Witnesses alleged that another passenger had accidentally left the bag behind while rushing to attend an important meeting.
Rather than keeping the money or leaving the scene, the student is said to have alerted the driver and other passengers before efforts were made to trace the rightful owner.
The businessman allegedly realized the money was missing several minutes later and contacted the transport company in a desperate attempt to locate the bag. To his surprise, he was informed that a student had already handed it over untouched.
A video said to capture the emotional reunion between the businessman and the student has since gone viral on social media, attracting thousands of comments from Nigerians who applauded the young man's integrity.
According to the viral claims, the businessman was so impressed by the student's honesty that he rewarded him with a substantial cash gift and reportedly offered to assist with part of his university education. The exact value of the alleged reward has not been confirmed.
