During an interview that aired on Symfoni TV on Thursday, July 30, 2026, Ogun stated that the opposition was getting ready to use technologically advanced techniques to independently monitor and validate election results nationwide.
He claims that Nigerians would have more faith in the results of the elections if the country adopted AI and other digital advancements that increase openness and accountability.
According to the ex-lawmaker, a group assisting the other party's presidential campaign created an AI-driven platform to watch the election and check results as they come in from voting places around the country.
According to him, the method would add a third party watchdog, making it considerably more difficult for anybody to tamper with the results of the election.
"By 2:00 p.m. on election day, the whole world will know the next president of Nigeria." Ogun asserted, expressing faith in the technology.
He elaborated on the initiative's goal of guaranteeing that all valid votes count and that the result fairly represents Nigerians' desires.
He claims that the likelihood of election fraud would be significantly diminished and public faith in democracy would be enhanced by the implementation of real-time monitoring and verification.
The opposition, according to Ogun, has made great strides in getting ready for the 2027 presidential election, and he is adamant that everyone should cast a ballot because no one or organization can rig the results.
The election's integrity, he said, may be better protected than in past cycles with the help of technology, watchful citizenry, and open monitoring systems.
Concerns about the political atmosphere in the country and previous electoral problems should not dissuade Nigerians, the former legislator said.
Instead, he emphasised the importance of eligible voters getting their voter credentials, being actively involved in the election, and being dedicated to protecting the integrity of their ballots.
His main point was that people need to be involved in voting and holding institutions to account for democracies to thrive.
Furthermore, Ogun denied rumours that the 2027 presidential election had already been called, insisting that the people of Nigeria will have the last say.
He maintained that the future president of Nigeria will be chosen by the votes of millions of citizens, not by political guesswork or forecasts, and that the increasing influence of technology would make the process more transparent, open, and hard to compromise.
