Obi Should Stop Entertaining People And Tell Us What He Will Do And What The Alternative Is-Danjuma

According to a video posted on the official YouTube channel of Trust TV on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, APC Chieftain, Honourable Samuel Danjuma, urged Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to focus more on presenting his plans for Nigeria rather than engaging in political exchanges.

During the interview, Danjuma argued that anyone seeking the nation's highest office should clearly explain their policy direction and how they intend to address the country's pressing challenges.

He maintained that Nigerians deserve to hear practical solutions from presidential aspirants so they can make informed decisions ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking on Obi's public engagements, Danjuma said, "Peter Obi should stop entertaining people and tell us what he will do and what the alternative is."

He stressed that political campaigns should move beyond public appearances and debates to include detailed explanations of proposed policies on the economy, security, education, healthcare, and job creation.

The APC chieftain also defended the right of Nigerians to scrutinize every candidate seeking elective office. According to him, no aspirant should be exempt from public questioning because the decisions made by whoever eventually becomes president will affect every citizen.

Danjuma concluded that democracy thrives when candidates openly present their agendas and allow voters to evaluate them based on their ideas, competence, and ability to deliver meaningful governance.

He added that issue-based campaigns remain essential for strengthening public confidence in Nigeria's democratic process ahead of the next presidential election.
