Speaking with host Josh Preslo on Live Now from Fox, Chandler was asked who else might be targeting Iran, given that no country had claimed responsibility for the additional strikes.
Chandler said Israel possesses precise military capabilities that would allow it to carry out such operations quietly.
In his words, Mark Chandler said, "Well, the likely candidates for those unclaimed air strikes obviously would be Israel. They have some precise capabilities that they can use against it," he said.
Chandler added that Israel was not necessarily acting alone.
He said reporting on the matter had largely overlooked the roles that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates may have played in striking Iran, noting that both countries have the ability to launch attacks across the Gulf toward Iranian coastal targets.
Chandler explained that these nations tend to avoid publicizing such actions out of fear of Iranian retaliation, even though Iran struck them first.
Chandler said this pattern reflects a long history of Gulf Arab states managing tension with Iran carefully since the Islamic Republic came to power in 1979.
He said it is unlikely that clear claims of responsibility for these strikes will emerge anytime soon, as regional actors continue to prefer quiet action over public acknowledgment, especially while broader U.S.-Iran hostilities remain active and unpredictable.
