If Not Because Of Chief Of Defence Who Spoke To Me You Could've Killed Everyone Here —Wike to Soldier

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), recently had an altercation with soldiers in Abuja over a land dispute. 

The soldiers, reportedly acting on instructions from Vice Admiral Zubairu Gambo, blocked Wike and FCTA officials from accessing the land in Gaduwa, sparking a heated confrontation.

In a video shared by Channels Television, Wike said that if not for the intervention of the Chief of Defense Staff, who spoke to him when he visited the land, the soldiers would have had to kill him and everyone with him to stop them from accessing it

In Wike's words: "We are all from this country and this is goverment, you cannot be higher than any government. You cannot be carrying gun to intimidate people not to do their work. Let me tell you if not because of the Chief of Defense Staff who spoke to me now you could have killed everybody here. No problem. I am not one of those they can intimidate, I am doing my job"
