Wike:I Won’t Shut Up, I’m a Commissioned Officer, Don’t Call Me a Fool, I’m Acting on Orders–Officer

A heated clash recently occurred in Abuja between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and a naval officer during a disagreement over a piece of land.

The land in question is reportedly linked to a former Chief of Naval Staff and has been at the center of a legal and administrative dispute.

In a video shared by TV Platinum, Wike had visited the site with his team to stop ongoing development on the land, claiming there were no valid approvals or documentation.

Upon arrival, he was confronted by naval personnel who insisted they were there on official orders.

The tension quickly escalated when Wike accused the military officer of trying to take advantage of his position.

In response, the naval officer firmly pushed back, stating he was a commissioned officer acting under orders and would not accept being insulted.

The officer insisted he had integrity and demanded respect for his position, even as Wike shouted at him to “shut up” and leave the area.

The argument grew louder, with the officer refusing to back down and saying he would not be silenced or called a fool.

He also clarified that no one intended to cause harm and that the military was only there to protect what they believed to be legally acquired land.

In his words, "I'm an officer I have integrity, I won't shut up, I'm a commissioned officer. I'm not a fool sir, don't call me a fool. I'm acting on order. You can't call me a fool sir. I'm an officer, we won't kill anybody we're acting on orders."
