According to her, she lived in an apartment for several weeks without knowing that a snake was secretly sharing the same room with her.
Speaking in an interview, the actress explained that she travelled with a film crew for a long movie shoot.
The producers arranged a place for her to stay, and at first everything seemed normal. The room looked clean and comfortable, so she settled in quickly.
But only a few days later, she began to notice strange things happening, especially at night.
Oyewunmi said she often woke up in the middle of the night feeling uncomfortable, as if something cold or wet had touched her skin.
At first, she believed she was just stressed from long hours on set. But the disturbing feeling continued almost every night.
She described how she would sleep peacefully, only to wake up suddenly with her body feeling damp, confused about what could be causing it.
Her concern increased when she started noticing that the food she prepared did not stay where she placed it.
Whenever she cooked soup or stored food for the next day, she would wake up to find the pot overturned or the food spilled on the floor.
At first, she suspected that rats or other small animals might be entering the kitchen.
She even asked the owner of the house if there was something wrong with the room. But she was always told not to worry, and that the house was safe.
However, the situation became too disturbing to ignore. The nightly discomfort, the scattered food, and the unsettling atmosphere in the room eventually pushed her to leave the apartment before the movie project ended.
She packed her things and moved out, hoping to get some peace of mind.
It was after her departure that the true reason behind all the strange experiences finally came to light.
According to Oyewunmi, the people who moved into the room after she left discovered a white snake hiding inside the apartment.
One of them reportedly saw the snake slithering quietly through the room, and the news quickly spread among the film crew.
Hearing this confirmed her worst fears. She realised that all the discomfort she felt at night was likely caused by the snake coming close to her while she slept.
The spilled food also made sense to her, as the snake may have been searching for warmth or movement and ended up knocking things over.
She said the discovery shocked everyone, especially because the snake had stayed hidden for so long.
The actress also mentioned that the strange incident was once reported by a national newspaper, and she still keeps a copy of the publication as a reminder of how dangerous the situation could have been.
Looking back at the event, Oyewunmi said she is grateful that nothing worse happened. She believes she was protected, even though she had no idea she was living with a wild animal for weeks.
