Determined to do further damage, the shameless man brought an ‘evidence’ to support his claim - PDP

The political feud between Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has intensified, with supporters of the governor dismissing Fayose’s claims that Makinde received and concealed N50 billion in federal relief funds.

According to the Oyo PDP-Visionaries, a group backing Governor Makinde, Fayose’s attempt to support his allegation with official documents is both clumsy and misleading.

The group described his action, saying, “Determined to do further damage, the shameless man brought an ‘evidence’ to support his claim.”

The letter cited by Fayose, issued by the Ministry of Finance, was characterized by Makinde’s camp as merely a record of a fund request rather than proof that the money was ever disbursed.

The statement suggested that Fayose misunderstood the document, portraying his intervention as an attempt at personal and political attack.

The Oyo PDP-Visionaries further claimed that Fayose’s actions may have been influenced by external political interests, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, framing the dispute as part of a broader political rivalry rather than a genuine concern about governance.

Observers say the dispute underscores how factional conflicts within the PDP are increasingly becoming public spectacles of personal insults and allegations.
