Deborah: Few Years Ago A Lady Was Killed In Sokoto, Atiku Tweeted & Deleted It An Hour Later - Kachikwu

Former ADC presidential candidate Dumebi Kachikwu has criticized Atiku Abubakar over his response to the killing of a young woman in Sokoto State several years ago following allegations of blasphemy.

According to Kachikwu, Atiku initially spoke out against the incident on social media but removed his statement less than an hour later.

During an appearance on Arise TV, Kachikwu claimed that the post was taken down because Atiku felt it was politically disadvantageous to maintain a stance that might be viewed as opposing religious sensitivities.

He described the move as troubling, especially for someone seeking the nation’s highest office.

Kachikwu stressed that leadership in a country like Nigeria—home to millions of Christians and Muslims—requires the courage to stand by moral principles regardless of political calculations.

He argued that condemning violence should never be conditional on public opinion or religious alignment.

By raising the incident, Kachikwu questioned whether a person who withdraws from a clear moral position in the face of pressure is truly prepared to lead a complex and religiously diverse nation.

  1. They always have their Islamic agenda well tucked into their sleeves, but keep pretending, and fools keep believing and following them. Time is riped for everyone to keep awake to know what is going on.
