During A Robbery Attack Robbers Told Funke Akindele To Pull Her Clothes & Forced Her To Dance — Bimbo Thomas

Bimbo Thomas, a Nollywood actress, shared that she and her colleague Funke Akindele were robbed by armed men at a hotel in Ebute Metta, Lagos, while filming a movie.

In an interview with WithChude, Bimbo recounted that the incident occurred between midnight and 1 a.m., and the robbers specifically targeted Funke.

Initially, when the intruders entered their hotel room, Bimbo thought they were merely there to steal their belongings and would leave.

After taking their possessions, the robbers demanded that Funke strip and then insisted she lead them to her car.

Bimbo described how the robbers forcibly pulled Funke out of the room as she remained paralyzed with fear.

Eventually, she managed to quietly exit the room and went downstairs to investigate the situation.

To her surprise, Bimbo heard Funke singing, which puzzled her. When she peeked through the window, she discovered that the robbers had instructed Funke to sing and dance, which she was doing.

The robbers eventually escaped when the police arrived.

Bimbo recounted:

"They told her to take off her clothes and said, 'Take us to your car.' So they dragged her away. We were left there trembling, unsure of what to do. I cautiously exited the room to see what was going on. When I got downstairs, I heard her singing 'I was born in the ghetto.' I couldn't understand why she was singing until I looked through the window and saw that they had asked her to dance and sing, and she was complying."
