Saviour Imeable Oscar, an activist, has stated that Governor Siminalayi Fubara should not allow Nyesom Wike’s actions to distract him from running Rivers State.
He said that many people in the state are fully ready to stand with the governor and support him in carrying out his work.
In a video shared by Symfoni TV, Oscar said that the impeachment process the Martins Amaewhule-led House of Assembly commenced against Fubara will not succeed.
He said the people of Rivers State are ready to storm the Rivers State House of Assembly to stop the impeachment.
He said they have been holding back only because the governor has refused to give them permission to act.
In Oscar's words: "If not that we are waiting for directive, if not that we are waiting because the governor has refused to give us that opportunity to stampede this House of Assembly to order, we are not afraid of being killed, we are not afraid of being arrested"
He pointed out that every citizen, including his family members, has the constitutional right to seek public office.
Kalu mentioned that while he previously focused only on the Abia North senatorial district during past election cycles, the current political situation necessitates a wider engagement.
He declared his intention to actively support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in achieving victories at all levels in the upcoming 2027 elections.
"What’s wrong with my brother? Is there anything wrong with him aspiring to be governor? The answer is no," the former governor asserted.
He also expressed confidence in his own reelection campaign, referencing his accomplishments as a senator over the past six years and reaffirming his dedication to continue serving the people of Abia North.
