The Deputy President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex sociocultural organisation of the Igbo, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, in an interview with The PUNCH, shared his views on the life imprisonment handed down to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, as well as broader issues affecting the South-East.
Responding to claims that the South-East has suffered marginalisation under successive governments, he acknowledged that such perceptions are widely shared among the Igbo.
He said many Igbos believe they have been subjected to unfair treatment within the Nigerian state, a sentiment rooted in historical experience.
