Governor Monday Okpebholo has spoken about the abduction and killing of a young man named Isiah in Ekpoma, Esan West LGA, which led to major protests in the town
In a video shared by Channels Television, Okpebholo said the people who kidnapped Isiah were wearing masks, which is not the traditional way kidnappers who are Fulanis operate.
He said the kidnappers did not demand for ransom and they killed Isiah shortly after they abducted him from his house.
Okpebholo stated that the next day, people staged a violent protest that led to looting and destruction of properties.
He promised that the violent protesters and the kidnappers responsible for Isiah's murder will be caught and brought to justice
In Okpebholo's words: "Somebody came out from a car, entered his house. You kidnapped him, you did not even ask for ransom, you did not ask for anything.
The people that kidnapped this guy masked their faces, that is not the traditional way of Fulanis, and they did not go far, they killed him"
