Former Niger Delta militant leader and rights activist, Asari Dokubo, has reacted to comments attributed to former United States President Donald Trump, stating that Muslims are not intimidated and will continue to stand firm in the face of perceived threats or hostile rhetoric.
In a video shared by Asari Dokubo on his Facebook, He made the remarks while speaking on global politics and religious identity, stressing that fear has never defined Muslims.
Dokubo said Muslims remain resilient and united despite pressures from powerful political figures. According to him, history has shown that intimidation does not weaken people of faith but often strengthens their resolve.
He argued that attempts to marginalize or threaten Muslims would not succeed, noting that confidence and unity remain their strongest tools.
“The Muslims of this country are not afraid of them; I’ll stand firm and defend our side,” Dokubo said. He added that global leaders must exercise caution in their utterances, warning that inflammatory statements could deepen divisions and fuel unnecessary tensions.
He emphasized that mutual respect and understanding among different religious and political groups are essential for global peace.
