Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, a former lawmaker who represented Rivers Southeast Senatorial District, has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his role in fostering political unity and stability within the Ogoni community and across Rivers State.
In a video shared by SYMFONI TV, Senator Abe expressed admiration for Wike’s leadership style, noting that under his guidance, the selection of key political positions such as chairman, vice chairman, and secretary occurred without any internal disputes or factional disagreements. He described this as a rare achievement in the region’s often turbulent political environment.
During the gathering, Abe emphasized that the Ogoni people have experienced a new era of cohesion, which he attributed to Wike’s inclusive and strategic approach to governance. He stated that the unity currently enjoyed in Ogoniland is a direct result of Wike’s influence and commitment to collective progress.
Senator Abe assured that the Ogoni people are firmly aligned with Wike’s political vision and are ready to stand by him in any future political journey. He described their support as unwavering and powerful, suggesting that wherever Wike leads, the Ogoni people will follow with strength and solidarity.
His words, "Under Wike, we have chosen chairman, vice chairman; we have chosen secretary. Did you see us quarrel? Wike is a leader that unites, and that's why we are united.
Your Excellency, the Ogoni people will support you because if there's unity today in Ogoni, you are the cause of it. Anywhere you put your leg, the next sound you will hear is the sound of the footprint of the Ogoni people. We will shake the world for you."
