Around 2 pm we were called that bandits were approaching, and we were told to hold weapons—Survivor

Lawali Abubakar, a resident of Dutsin Dan Ajiya village, Anka Local Government area of Zamfara state, has recounted his ordeal in the recent attack on the community.

According to reports, unknown assailants have stormed the Dutsin Dan Ajiya village in the Anka Local Government area of Zamfara state, killing no fewer than fifty residents.

Recently the president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has charged the Nigerian Police Force, the Nigerian Army, and other security agencies to employ new strategies in curbing the rising level of insecurity across the country.

However, in the video posted by Channels Television, Lawali Abubakar, a resident of Dutsin Dan Ajiya village, Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State, recalled how he was working on a site when suddenly he received calls that bandits were headed their way, and he was also told to grab weapons as the villagers planned to go head-to-head with the bandits.

According to the video, "Around 2 pm we were called and told that bandits were approaching on forty machines; we were told to hold weapons."
