Dino Melaye Reacts To Video Of Ndume Challenging Akpabio For Changing Chairman Of A Committee

One of the chieftains of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and former Kogi lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to a viral video of the Borno lawmaker, Senator Ali Ndume challenging the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.

The reaction of Senator Dino Melaye was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Friday, February 6, 2026.

In the video that surfaced online, Ali Ndume was seen questioning the Senate President for changing the Chairman of the Harmonization Committee to Senator Simon Lalong.

Here is what Senator Ali Ndume said;

"Mr President, the chairman of the committee is here. You have to put the Chairman of the Harmonization Committee. 

We have a chairman who represented us in doing this thing and then you just excluded him from the harmonization.

"What kind of harmonization are you going to do? We are telling you about experience. There is a legislative procedure. 

The person who did this work is here so how can you go and harmonize without the person who did the work?"

Reacting, Dino Melaye stated that there was a Senate.
