During the 90 Minutes Africa programme on Iroko Post TV, Odinkalu stated that there was a time when former Governor Nasir El-Rufai wanted to abduct him.
He said that even if he were the type of person who likes to belong to political parties, he would never join the same party as El-Rufai.
He said he cannot easily forgive El-Rufai for what the former governor did to him
In Odinkalu's words: "I will be honest with you, I am a person of faith but I am not a good Christian, I don't do forgive and forget very early. El-Rufai wanted to abduct me.
Even if I were the party belonging type I will not join the same party with El-Rufai because that is not my version of forgive and forget"
