Makinde:If Atiku Fails to Retract Statement Within 48hrs,I’ll Reveal What Was Said About Wike–Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has given former Vice President Atiku Abubakar 48 hours to retract a statement made about him, warning that failure to do so would force him to disclose more details about a private meeting in Minna.

The ultimatum comes after Paul Ibe, Atiku’s Special Adviser on Media, described Fayose as a habitual spreader of political rumours.

Ibe dismissed a recent report involving Fayose as fabricated and misleading, claiming it was designed to create controversy and distort facts.

He said:

The story is entirely false, stitched together by someone whose influence relies on gossip, misrepresentation, and cheap publicity."

Responding, Fayose warned that if Atiku does not publicly disown the remarks within 48 hours, he will reveal what was discussed during a meeting between Atiku and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde in Minna, particularly regarding the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

He stated:

"Should Atiku fail to retract the statement within the next 48 hours, I will have no choice but to disclose more about the Minna meeting, especially what was said about Wike."

The exchange marks a fresh escalation in the ongoing political tension, as the public now waits to see whether Atiku will heed the warning.
