The last 3rd of every night Ramadan,Allah would descend and start calling out his servants-Lafiagi

In an interview with The Punch, an Islamic scholar and Chief Imam of Al-Hikmah University, Dr. Sanusi Lafiagi, spoke about the spiritual importance and rewards of the holy month of Ramadan. He also explained why many Muslims struggle to remain as devoted after Ramadan ends.

When asked if there are special times in Ramadan that need extra attention, he said yes, alleging that there are some days in the month that have important moments Muslims should not ignore.

He explained that some nights in Ramadan have great spiritual value and give believers special chances to pray, reflect, and ask for Allah’s mercy.

He also said the last nights of Ramadan are very important, especially the night before Eid, which is the first day of Shawwal.

He noted that during this period, Muslims are expected to give Zakatul-Fitr, the charity given at the end of fasting.

He further said, "Most importantly, the last third of every night of Ramadan, just like any other night, is a period that the Prophet said Almighty Allah would descend to the lowest heaven and will start calling out His servants: who needs X? Who needs Y? Call on Me and ask Me, I will deliver it to you."

He added that although many people prefer to sleep at that time, the last third of every night in Ramadan is very important. He advised Muslims to use that time wisely by waking up to pray and seek Allah’s mercy.
