Wike: We Believe One Man Cannot Sit In His Bedroom And Write The Names Of Members Of NWC -Aziegbemi

Edo State PDP Chairman, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, has declared that state chairmen of the party will resist any attempt by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to unilaterally determine the membership of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

He emphasized the need for collective consultation in selecting party leaders to maintain fairness and internal democracy.

“We believe one man cannot sit in his bedroom and write the names of members of NWC,” Aziegbemi said.

He stressed that decisions regarding party leadership must involve all relevant stakeholders and not be dictated by a single individual, warning against actions that could undermine the party’s cohesion.

Aziegbemi’s statement comes amid ongoing debates within the PDP over internal party democracy and the selection of key officials. He urged party leaders to respect inclusive processes and collective decision-making to strengthen the party and ensure trust among members.

His comments highlight the tension between party officials and influential figures seeking to influence leadership appointments.
