“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again - Trump

United States President Donald Trump has intensified his warnings toward Iran as negotiations aimed at resolving months of conflict between both nations continue to face setbacks.

According to reports by Al Jazeera, Trump issued a fresh warning on Sunday through his Truth Social platform, stressing that Tehran was running out of time to reach an agreement with Washington.

In his post, the US president wrote, “For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!”

The latest remarks come amid heightened tensions following the outbreak of hostilities on February 28, when joint military operations reportedly carried out by the United States and Israel targeted Iranian positions.

Since the conflict began, Washington has continued to push demands that include the dismantling of Iran’s missile programme, a halt to its nuclear enrichment activities, and the reduction of Tehran’s influence through regional allies.

Trump’s recent comments are viewed as part of a broader pattern of increasingly aggressive rhetoric as diplomatic talks struggle to deliver meaningful progress.

Just a day before his latest statement, the American leader shared an AI-generated image of himself standing on a military vessel alongside the caption, “It was the calm before the storm.”

His statements have continued to attract criticism from analysts and legal observers, many of whom argue that some of his comments could be interpreted as threats against civilians and critical infrastructure.

On April 7, Trump sparked further controversy after posting another warning directed at Iran. “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.

I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,” he stated in a message that drew condemnation from critics who compared the language to genocidal rhetoric.

Despite the heated exchanges, both countries later agreed to a ceasefire arrangement that has largely remained in place, although accusations of violations have persisted on both sides.

Meanwhile, fears continue to grow over the possibility of wider instability across the Middle East, especially regarding regional security, oil supplies, and global shipping routes.
