Ogidi Was Crying, "I'll Take You To Sapele, Nuhu Killed Him, Because Of His Crime In Sapele- Umukoro

Efemena Umukoro has blamed the Nigeria Police Force for failing to act earlier against ASP Nuhu Usman, arguing that alleged past misconduct was overlooked until it escalated into a tragic incident.

Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Umukoro reacted to a viral video showing a police officer shooting a restrained suspect in public.

He said the situation might have been prevented if earlier allegations involving the officer had been properly addressed.

According to him, ignoring previous complaints allowed the officer to continue unchecked, eventually posing a serious threat.

Umukoro explained that the suspect, identified as Ogidi, was reportedly pleading and offering to take officers to a location in Sapele at the time of the incident.

He suggested that this development may have triggered the shooting, alleging that the officer acted to prevent further investigation that could expose prior actions.

Umukoro also noted that Nuhu Usman had previously served in Jesse, an area close to Sapele, raising concerns about possible links between his past assignments and the incident.

He said, “Nuhu worked in Jesse, previously… If you watch that young man crying, saying, ‘I will take you to the place in Sapele,’ I guess that was the main reason why Nuhu quickly killed him, because Nuhu knows that his crime and criminality will be exposed.”

Authorities have since confirmed that ASP Nuhu Usman has been arrested, with investigations ongoing as the public awaits further details. The case has continued to generate reactions, with calls for accountability and reforms within the police system.
