They Came On Six Motorcycles. The Terrorists Were Speaking Yoruba, Hausa, And Pidgin English-Teacher

According to a report by Punch News on Sunday, May 17, 2026, Elizabeth Olagoke, a teacher at Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota, which was invaded by terrorists, has recounted her ordeal, saying that the terrorists came on six motorcycles, and they were speaking Yoruba, Hausa, and pidgin English.

Recounting her ordeal, Elizabeth Olagoke said the terrorists arrived around 8 a.m. during the morning session. They came on six motorcycles, with two people on each bike. 

She said she heard them shout, "Come in," in Yoruba, after which they began shooting randomly, and chaos erupted. Mrs. Elizabeth revealed that the terrorists were speaking Yoruba, Hausa, and Pidgin English.

Elizabeth Olagoke added that the terrorists were all masked, dressed in camouflage, and appeared to be young men. She said they came from the Esinele area and operated for about seven minutes.

In her words, she said, "They came on six motorcycles, and there were two passengers on each bike." She added, "The terrorists were speaking Yoruba, Hausa, and Pidgin English."
