He indicated that his direct encounters with everyday Nigerians around the nation reveal a vastly different perspective than what critics and opposing voices are claiming.
During his appearance on the Mic on Podcast, Dare dismissed what he labeled as opinions and feelings lacking any reliable data or organized surveys.
He claimed that it is reckless to label a current president as unpopular without adhering to the proper polling methods seen in other democratic nations globally.
This includes identifying specific target groups, dependable sample sizes, carefully crafted questions, and declared margins of error.
He asserted that Nigeria warrants the same criteria before anyone makes broad statements regarding presidential popularity.
In his own words, Sunday Dare expressed, "Let me state this clearly. Being a journalist, particularly one who investigates, I frequently go out into the field. I travel widely. I find myself in situations where people don’t realize who I am. I ask questions and observe what is occurring.
"You might say that people are indicating the president is not favored. However, when you look more closely, many individuals have conveyed that this president is making hard choices and is working to improve this nation. We understand that the journey will not be simple, and we are prepared to make necessary sacrifices," he explained.
Dare remarked that Nigerians often engage in what he refers to as selective perception, suggesting that individuals concentrate only on negative aspects while dismissing evidence of positive developments.
He emphasized that a nation as large as Nigeria, which he described as a leading indicator for Africa, should be managed based on factual information and solid data instead of public opinion or opposition noise.
He also pointed to the government's economic reform initiatives as proof that the current administration is making the tough, yet essential decisions that previous governments avoided.
