Labour Party National Vice Chairman (South-West), Dr. Abayomi Arabambi, has publicly challenged Peter Obi to explain what he described as inconsistencies in the names contained in the former presidential candidate's documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Arabambi made the remarks during an interview on News Central TV while discussing issues surrounding Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), and the political developments ahead of the 2027 general election.
During the interview, the Labour Party chieftain claimed he had obtained a Certified True Copy of documents submitted to INEC and alleged that they contained different versions of Peter Obi's name.
Arabambi said the matter was important because public officials and political office seekers are expected to maintain consistency in official records submitted to relevant institutions.
Speaking during the interview, Arabambi said, "I'm challenging Peter Obi on live television to explain the four different names contained in his INEC documents."
He maintained that the explanation should come directly from Peter Obi rather than from his associates or supporters, insisting that the former presidential candidate should publicly address the issue.
The Labour Party official further stated that he believed the questions surrounding the names deserved clarification, given the public attention the matter had attracted.
