Iran Issues This New Statement That Could Change the Course of the Middle East War

The ongoing tension between Iran, Israel and the United States has taken a new turn after the Advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Morteza Ghorbani, issued a strong statement insisting that Iran's military leaders should not hide during war but should be on the front lines with their soldiers.

Speaking about the security situation and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Ghorbani said Iran has a tradition of its military leaders leading operations from close proximity to combat zones rather than issuing orders from safe locations.

"Iran is not a country where we, the top military leaders, give orders while hiding. We give orders and are on the front lines of the battle. That is the job of a leader, not to be afraid of death. How can you motivate soldiers to fight if you yourself are hiding," said Ghorbani.

The statement comes at a time when tensions between Iran on the one hand and Israel and the United States on the other continue to rise following reported attacks and military threats in various parts of the Middle East.

In his statement, Ghorbani also spoke of the Commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, Esmail Qaani, saying that he is ready to take a greater role in the ongoing struggle.

According to Ghorbani, Qaani believes he has fulfilled his role of coordinating and supporting Iran's allied groups in the region, including Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthi Movement, so he is now ready to appear publicly and participate directly in leading the war.
