The attacks targeted the Ali Al-Salem Military Base in Kuwait and areas associated with the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

According to media outlets affiliated with the Iranian government, the operation is a direct response to what it called US aggression in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman.

Reports from the scene indicate that air defense systems in Kuwait and Bahrain were activated immediately after the attacks, and several missiles were intercepted before reaching their targets.

However, the authorities in those countries have not yet provided full information on the extent of the damage or the number of casualties.

The US military has been increasing security measures in the region, strengthening missile and drone interceptors, especially in areas near the Strait of Hormuz. The move reflects the US's heightened vigilance following a surge in such attacks in recent months.

International security analysts say the incident marks a escalation in military tensions between Tehran and Washington, and could significantly affect maritime security in the Persian Gulf.

The region has been a hotbed of long-standing tensions over nuclear issues, oil security, and the military influence of major powers.
