The cleric's reaction follows a legal threat issued by Kwankwaso, who reportedly plans to file a N10 billion defamation suit over comments Ayodele made during a sermon that was recorded and streamed live online.
Kwankwaso, who currently serves as the running mate to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), alleged through his lawyers that Ayodele made statements portraying him as insincere in his political relationship with Obi and suggesting that he was financially motivated to accept the vice-presidential position.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric said his prophecies have always been guided by divine inspiration rather than personal opinions or relationships.
"It has come to my attention that the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has alleged that I wrongly accused him in my recent prophecy concerning his political ambition," Ayodele stated.
"I wish to make it clear that my prophecies are never intended to defame, malign or attack anyone. I only communicate messages as they are revealed to me by God."
Ayodele further disclosed that he has never had any personal relationship or disagreement with Kwankwaso, arguing that there would be no reason for him to deliberately target the politician.
According to him, his comments regarding Kwankwaso's political future were made in the same manner he addresses other individuals when he believes he has received a divine message concerning them.
The cleric also emphasized that he holds the former governor in high regard and that his prophetic declarations are never influenced by personal sentiments, political affiliations, or grievances.
"Kwankwaso is someone I respect, just as I respect every other individual. My prophecies are not driven by personal relationships or emotions. They are simply messages and directives that I believe God has revealed," he said.
Ayodele lamented what he described as a widespread misunderstanding and misrepresentation of his prophecy, claiming that certain individuals with political interests distorted his message and presented it in a manner that created controversy.
He expressed regret that the matter had escalated to the point of legal threats, insisting that a simple request for clarification could have resolved any misunderstanding.
"Unfortunately, the prophecy was greatly misunderstood and misrepresented by people who are interested in Kwankwaso's political career. Even the politician himself appears to have interpreted it as a personal attack on his character," he said.
"It should never have reached this stage. If clarification had been sought, I would have explained exactly what I meant and it would have been obvious that there was no intention to defame anyone."
The religious leader urged public figures and individuals mentioned in his prophecies to seek clarification whenever they are uncertain about the meaning of his statements rather than resorting to accusations or legal threats.
Ayodele also issued a warning to individuals who allegedly manipulate or edit his video messages to suit political, personal, or selfish interests.
He described such actions as misleading and unacceptable, adding that anyone found deliberately altering his messages for ulterior motives could face appropriate action.
"I appeal to those mentioned in my prophecies to seek clarification before making accusations or issuing threats.
I also warn those who manipulate my videos to serve personal or political agendas to stop immediately. Necessary action will be taken against anyone found guilty of deliberately distorting my messages," he said.
