The US Attacks Iran Again With These Heavy Missiles, Here's Why

The US military, through the United States Central Command, says its forces have shot down four Iranian drones that were heading towards the Strait of Hormuz, claiming they posed a direct threat to the safety of ships passing through the vital international waterway.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world's most important oil shipping lanes, through which much of the oil from the Persian Gulf passes before reaching global markets.

According to the statement, the action to shoot down the aircraft was taken after the United States determined that they were conducting activities that could threaten the security of maritime transport and the interests of US allies in the Persian Gulf region. 

Following the operation, CENTCOM said its forces launched retaliatory strikes targeting Iranian radar sites located in the Goruk area and Qeshm Island.

The US military said the strikes were aimed at reducing Iran's ability to track and direct attacks against US ships and military facilities in the region. 

From the US perspective, destroying radar infrastructure helps deter further attacks and protect the security of its forces and regional allies.
