"Instead of Building Ships, You Produce Missiles" – Pete Hegseth Claims Iran's Military Priorities Have Left the Country Weakened and Under Growing Pressure

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's statement on Iran has sparked a heated debate in international politics and Middle East security.

Hegseth claimed that Iran has ballistic missiles but has now lost the ability to produce new weapons such as missiles, drones and warships due to the military and economic pressure facing the country.

In his statement, he stressed that Iran's military infrastructure has been damaged to the point where it cannot continue weapons production at its previous level.

He added that this situation has forced Tehran to consider negotiations instead of continuing a military conflict with the United States and its allies.

The statement comes at a time when tensions between the United States and Iran have continued to rise, especially in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, which are of great importance for global trade and oil transportation.

The United States has been strengthening its military presence in the region while imposing tough sanctions on Iran's defense and energy sectors.

However, Iran has denied the claims, insisting that it is still capable of defending itself and cannot be easily undermined.

Tehran's leaders have said that their nation has learned to withstand long-term sanctions and that it will continue to develop its military capabilities without relying on Western powers.
