‘God Is Not In A Hurry To Take You Home; His Plan Is For You To Enjoy Long Life,’ Pastor Adeboye Encourages Christians To Trust God's Promise

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has encouraged Christians to believe in God's promise of long life, saying it is not God's desire for His children to die before their appointed time.

Speaking during a recent sermon shared on YouTube, Adeboye told believers that God wants them to live fulfilling lives and should not be feared as someone eager to take them away from the earth.

"The plan of God is not that you should die. So He is not in a hurry to take you home," the respected cleric said during his message.

Teaching from the opening chapters of the Book of Genesis, Adeboye explained that God's original plan for humanity was different from the reality people experience today. He pointed to the long lives of several biblical figures as evidence that God intended mankind to enjoy many years on earth.

He referred to Methuselah, who according to the Bible lived for 969 years, saying this showed that death was not part of God's original design for humanity.
