‘Some Think Not Wearing Earrings Is The Finality Of Holiness, But True Holiness Begins In The Heart,’ Pastor Kumuyi Explains What God Really Desires From Christians

Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has encouraged Christians to understand that true holiness is not based only on outward appearance but begins with a transformed heart and a genuine relationship with God.

Speaking during a recent sermon shared on YouTube, Kumuyi said many believers focus too much on external practices while forgetting the deeper spiritual change that God desires in every Christian.

Preaching from 1 Thessalonians 4:7, which says, "God has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness," the respected preacher explained that holiness starts with salvation, repentance, and a renewed life in Jesus Christ.

According to Kumuyi, some Christians wrongly believe that avoiding certain forms of dressing or personal adornment is the complete definition of holiness. He said such thinking falls short of the biblical teaching on Christian living.
